I hope to understand how to more fully integrate technology into the classroom. Especially how to integrate technology, curricullum and classroom improvememnt processes.
I'm pretty excited about what I think we will be learning (wiki, blog), but I would also like to learn how to set up a Zoomerang survey, and see how the results of a survey are displayed/delivered for interpretation, analysis, etc.
I want to get useful technology tips that I can integrate with the curriculum. I want to be able to help create a usable unit along with other partner teachers to have a good amount of school ready activities for students.
I would like to collaborate with colleagues to develop standards-based lessons. I would also like to learn more about using ActivExpressions and incorporating them into the classroom.
I would like the resources and time to learn and really understand in depth at least one form of new technology and then have the time to incorporate this tech into an existing unit to make it more entertaining and engaging for students.
I would like to integrate technology into my 6th grade science curriculum. I would also like to become more comfortable with my ActivBoard so I can use it on a daily basis and make use of all its capabilities.
I would like to learn how to use some new technology and resources. I have used active expressions and the active board before but feel like I could use them more often and be more effective when using them. I also want to use some new resources such as blogs and wikis to help my students work together and collaborate on their projects.
Question for Sunday: What do you want to get out of your time here at the Science Workshop?
College was a long ago for me...remember its all perspective. Since that time technology has just gotten over my head. I realized last fall as my 6th grade student walked me through a website from across the room, that I needed a refresher course and an overhaul. So I want to get a head start with this 2007 business. These social networks are really going to help with collaboration. I have seen some great teachers using their active boards and expressions, and I am excited to use those in my classroom. Overall I want to be a 21 century teacher.
I would like to take away some new and exciting technology, lessons and memories. I would also like time to find and integrate more web-based activities into my instruction. There's so much out there and so little time to explore and investigate.
I would like to gain enough skills & links that I am comfortable enough that I will be encouraged to use it easily in my class.
